1. Information We Collect

When you use Hire Pulse AI, we collect information necessary to provide ATS resume analysis, job matching, and career tools:

Account Information: Name, email address, password hash (encrypted via bcrypt), and account role (job seeker or recruiter).
Resume Data: PDF or DOCX files uploaded to the platform, parsed plain-text contents, work experience, education, and extracted skills.
Job Description Content: Job titles, requirements, and responsibilities submitted by recruiters or job seekers for match analysis.
Technical Log Data: IP address, browser user agent, device metadata, and audit logs stored for system security and operational metrics.

We use the collected information strictly for legitimate operational purposes:

Generating 5-pillar ATS compatibility scores (Keyword Match, Skill Coverage, Experience Alignment, Formatting, Readability).
Providing AI-powered bullet enhancements and section breakdown suggestions via OpenAI services.
Matching candidate resumes with recruiter job openings when applications are explicitly submitted.
Sending transactional notification emails (e.g. welcome messages, application status updates) via secure SMTP relay.

We maintain strict administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse:

JWT stateless authentication with 60-minute access token expiration and refresh token rotation.
Database access restricted via isolated container networks and PostgreSQL parameterized queries.
Files stored in isolated storage volumes accessible only by authenticated session bearer tokens.

You maintain full ownership and control over your personal data on Hire Pulse:

Access & Export: Download your saved resumes as DOCX or view raw parsed data at any time.
Deletion: Remove uploaded resumes or request account deletion, which triggers full cascade deletion across DB tables and storage.
Opt-Out: Manage transactional email preferences or request log anonymization via our support channel.
